I first started running at the age of 11. My sports teachers Mrs Ison, Miss Gibson and Mrs Berry from Farnborough Hill encouraged me to take part in the District Schools Cross Country in which I came 16th. My coach Mick Woods who was watching the race then spoke to me and advised me to take up running and so I joined Aldershot Athletics Club!
